It was a brisk morning as we unhooked the RV and set off to see Yellowstone.

On our way west around Yellowstone Lake we passed through the one of the many active thermal regions.

After passing the Continental Dive, we arrived at the Old Faithful parking lot. Originally, I thought parking here would be difficult since it was such a popular attraction, but the lot was massive and had a nice area for large vehicles.
Apparently, Old Faithful had erupted just before we arrived, so we wound up waiting for about an hour for the next show. We staked out a premier location and waited as the crowd gathered around and just like clockwork Old Faithful came to life.

In the Upper Geyser Basin there were several other geysers erupting simultaneously. Although none of them are as famous or erupt as often they were all quite spectacular.

Moving on to the Upper Geyser Basin, Luke and Tyler are enjoying the many colorful pools.

Another few miles and we took a quick hike to Gibbon Falls.

It was getting late in the day, but we still had time to stop at the Brink of Yellowstone Falls. The boys and I took a steep switchback trail down to get a close up view.

Moving down the road a bit, we stopped at a better vantage point to see the entirety of Yellowstone Falls and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

We we able to get one last picture of Yellowstone Falls before the weather took a turn for the worse.

The rain that was falling was now turning to snow, so we hopped back in the RV and headed back to Fishing Bridge.
Just before driving into the camp site for the evening, we filled up at the gas station next door to the campground and then went shopping at the visitor center. Rachel liked this sweatshirt, but she and Kristen would up getting matching tee shirts instead.
