A quick picture at the birch tree in the backyard and we were off.

Not too long after crossing into North Dakota, we stopped in Jamestown to see the world's largest buffalo. I'm not sure what they call it a buffalo when it's a bison?

Off to the side there is a field with live bison, but today none were present. Apparently, people have tried to cross the field, but...

We discovered that Jamestown was the birthplace of Louis L'amour.

Back to the other side of town, we stopped at the gift shop. Along the back side of the gift shop they have a pen that housed bison and a separate stable for the horses. You can feed the bison by opening up a small drawer and send the food don a pipe into their trough

On our way out, we say a field with some live bison. Have you ever heard of albino bison? Well, this place had two of them.

Now at the campground in Bismarck, all three kids rented some big kid big wheels. After riding around for 30 minutes, Tyler's vehicle broke and he had to nurse it back to the rental area.

While the kids played, we cooked dinner and finished off with some s'mores for dessert.

Off in the distance, we could see a large storm blowing our direction, so we checked the weather and we were right, it was headed right at us. Strangely, just before it was going to make a direct hit, the worst part of the storm split around us in both directions. While we did get some intense rain for about 20 minutes, the lightening and thunder stayed a couple of miles away, but provided for a great show.
