Not wanting to drive the RV to the Falls, we decided to get a taxi from our campsite (it turns out that Uber did not pick up on the small island where we were staying). After a quick stroll through the gift shop, we bought our trolley tour pass, which as it turned out, we did not use

A very short walk from the visitor booth was this view: Hello Niagara Falls-American side.

We came prepared to enter Canada. To get there, we walked across the Rainbow Bridge and through the customs office and turnstile.

We posed for a few pictures during the walk across the bridge.

Once across the bridge we had a better view of the American Falls.

Here we are with view of the American side of the Falls.

Here we are with the horseshoe view of the Canadian side of the Falls.

We came prepared to get wet, but it's a good thing that they hand out these ponchos before we headed into the tunnels for the Journey Behind the Falls.

And here we are getting soaked.

We wandered around the city of Niagara Falls the remainder of the day. Just up the street from the Falls was a carnival like are lined with retail and tourist related attractions.

The kids took turns taking a ride on Harley.

As we wandered around the city we found a Tom Hortons and then, when we needed to escape the rain we found a Starbucks to take refuge.

After the rain, mom and Rachel are looking pretty in front of a cherry tree in full bloom.

We waited around until the evening just to see the fireworks display over the falls, However, it was getting late and cold and we just didn't have the energy to hang around for another thirty minutes. Instead, we settled for the multi-color light display shining on the falls.

After a stop at the duty free shop to get exact change to go through the US re-entry turnstile at the customs office we headed back across the bridge.

The maple leaf and the stars and stripes standing tall as we go across the international border.
