Day 36 - Watkins Glen to Niagara Falls

From Watkins Glen, we headed north towards towards Niagara Falls. However, before we arrived at the epic waterfall, we made a stop in the city of Lockport, NY. Upon arrival, we jumped out of the RV and headed straight for this ice cream shop.
Juts a short walk from the ice cream store was a series of Erie Canal locks. Here, we watched a tour boat go through the large automated steel locks.
On the opposite side was the older, mechanical locks that are hand operated. It was our lucky day, as it just so happened that the operators were performing a demonstration--something they don't do often.
Time for a quick picture before moving on to Niagara Falls.
