After leaving New York, while driving through Connecticut, the screws holding in the motorized sun visor finally wiggled free and the entire assembly came crashing down on the dashboard. We had already applied a couple of temporary fixes, but this time time something more permanent would be required. I could not remember if we packed the duct tape, so we attempted to find a Target to buy some more. We found one, somewhere near UConn, but the Target was located on top of a parking structure with no RV friendly parking in sight. With no choice but to continue on the one way street to find somewhere else to buy tape we eventually ran into Lord & Taylor's. Yes, I know a department store was not exactly the best place to find tape, but it had a huge empty parking lot where we could stop or turnaround if needed. While there, Kristen for Luke went inside the store since he was running out of shirts and I went on a search for duct tape in the RV storage areas. Luckily, I found something better (gorilla tape) and Rachel and I used liberal amounts to hold up the visor. It wasn't pretty, but it worked.

Moving on, we quickly passed through Rhode Island and then into Massachusetts.

Weeks before we left home, I purchased tickets for a baseball game at Fenway Park. The schedule worked out for the game to be on a Friday night against the Yankees. Knowing that it would be impossible to drive the RV to or near Fenway Park, we needed to first drive to our campsite (an hour east of the city) and then take the train or get a cab or Uber. While driving, we did some research to find our best route to the game. Since the campsite was somewhat remote, Uber was out of the question and we discovered the train option would take nearly three hours. By now, it was almost 6PM and the game was set to start at 7:10PM. Our last option was to use a cab, so as soon as we parked the RV I found one and gratefully he arrived around 6:15PM. We jumped in the van and he got us to the game as quickly as he could, but even with his extensive knowledge of the city, our travel time to the game was more than an hour.

As we walked up to the park, we could smell the roasting nuts and the brawts on the grille. We had already packed dinner, so we unfortunately just walked by, through security and into the stadium.

Our view from right field. I specifically selected this spot (even with the semi-obstructed view) so that we could see the Green Monster.

By the time we sat down it was the beginning of the second inning. Not bad, considering what it took to get there. For most of the game the Sox were losing, but in the 7th inning, David Ortiz hit a home run over the Green Monster and the crowd came alive. I am not a huge Sox fan, but it was fun to be a fan for a day and watch the City love on their team.

In the middle of the 7th inning, they play the traditional "Take me Out to the Ballgame" like you have in ever other MLP park. The crowd gets into the song, but it's nothing like the middle of the the 8th when they play "Sweet Caroline."

After the game, we called the same cab and he took us back to the campsite bringing en and to a long, but fun day.
