This was not one of our planned excursions, but we were so close to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville that we just had to stop. Like most places we have been, there was much more to do here than we had time to explore, but we made the best of exploring the grounds before we stepped inside for a bit.
Before entering the estate, we had to squeeze the RV through the tight entrance tunnel. We then headed up the winding 2 mile road to the home.

Everyone was getting hungry for dinner, so we starting searching for a parking lot with some room to accommodate an RV. There were many locations, but they seemed to all be on the left side of the road and I wanted one on the right side of the road for ease of entering and exiting. We found such a place in Squire Ridge, NC and Kristen quickly prepared some egg sandwiches for all of us.

Not too far from Fuqua-Varina we passed over Jordan Lake where our windshield made a small dent into the lifespan of the local mosquito population.
