Day 4-Albuquerque to Amarillo

It's been a busy few days and we are just getting back to updating a what we have been up to...

Just as we left ABQ, the wind was blowing steady at 25+mph with gusts to 45mph. I will have to say that wind is not the friend of an RV. I had quite a bit of trouble keeping it under control, but did a good job keeping the rig in the lane.

Moving along at 60mph, we passed several highway signs advertising fireworks for sale. Next Exit...Stop Here..Stop Now...so we did. As you can see, Tyler was in paradise and wanted to buy everything in the store and so did I, but restraint was used and we managed to just buy a couple of treats. Rachel was also excited about a GIANT set of fireworks, but this one would not fit in the RV, so we settled for sparklers and flowers.

The whole time we were in the store mom could not wait to leave. When we actually left, the wind was still blowing strong, but the highway direction changed just enough to eliminate a crosswind and actually pushed us into Amarillo.
